I agree. It usually takes a little time to get posted.

So because your review doesn't get posted, there must be a conspiracy ?

I suppose its possible but other more likely reasons include;

- You haven't waited long enough - when did you send it?

- The email TA sends you (that you have to reply to) after you send in a review got caught by your spam rules and is currently residing in your spam/junk mail folder

- You did see the email but forgot to click on the link

- You posted something outside the review rules.

To ease your conspiracy-theory fears, there are plenty of hotels with very poor reviews, if you want to check that just pick a place and look at the lowest rated hotels there.

If you do and you posted it as Chelsea Harbour Hotel then TA take longer as they will probably be setting this up as a new hotel on their system.

This hotel is in the middle of a major revamp - its a building site !

I would not advise anyone to even think of staying there until its all finished !

But - I did myself wrire a "nasty " review of a rubbish restaurant in Bermuda that got "removed " after being posted !

All reviews are supposedly read for content that could be construed as libelous or complety untrue. Sometimes this takes a day and sometimes it takes weeks depending on the workoad. Also if your review does not meet posting guidlines then you will be sent an e-mail telling you why.

I have reviews rejected for silly reasons, corrected them and resubmitted them OK.

you need to have patience and the day hotels start running the review section of this site wil be RIP for it. (OK I know false reviews are a problem).

Everyone is correct. I've had reviews take up to 10 days to post. And remember the confirmation sent to your email.

I hadn't posted a review in ages, but did one this past week. It wasn't a particularly positive one for a hotel that usually gets glowing review. The review went up within a day and I didn't need to reply to an e-mail from TA. I wonder if having only one contribution to TA makes a difference versus people who are multiple contributors? If TA is looking over reviews I expect more date helps them to make quick decisions.

Hi Rebecca231. Hotels do not have control of this site. As a small property hotelier we have critical reviews listed for our property that I would, of course, rather not be there. But that is the beauty of TripAdvisor. You more or less get what you deserve. You work hard at providing a good product and the reviews reflect it. When you make a mistake or do not live up to people's expectations, the review reflects that as well.

Trust me, TripAdvisor has certainly changed how we operate our business. We now work extra hard. Mind you we always did work hard but now it's with more vigilance. We are always disappointed to read that we did not live up to expectations. TripAdvisor, IMHO, has helped provide better accommodation products.

I had this happen a few months ago for a hotel - and it was a positive review. After more than 2 weeks it still hadn't been published, even though I'd received the usual autoreply asking for confirmation it was my review which I had replied to, so I emailed Tripadvisor - you can find their contact details on the page footer, under Help I think. I think I forwarded the autoreply so they could see the review I was referring to. A day or two after my chase up email it was posted. I believe it fell into a black hole, though the email reply from Tripadvisor just said that sometimes it took a while due to volume of reviews received. So worth giving them a prompt if you're still waiting now.
