Our family of six stayed at the Queen Mary University last August for several nights. We thought it was great! It's inexpensive (we had three rooms, with three bathrooms, which was nice), and the location is pretty good since the tube stop is fairly close. The rooms are what you would expect for a university -- quite new. It was pretty quiet while we were there, and felt safe enough. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

It's absolutely fine. Great place to stay for the price especially as it's London. It's Imaculate, as I've seen some dingy places all over the world these past few years while travelling. I'm female and have travelled alot myself. Definitely on my recommendation list. And not too far from Central London. In fact it's a nice contrast from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street to arrive back to nice and clean and comfortable accomodation. Great facilities also. Go for it!
