Hi there
We camped here last summer - it's a peaceful campsite with excellent toilet and shower facilities, set in woodland with a wide central area for kids to play in. It's three quarters of a mile off the main road from Wareham to Swanage, on the B road to Church Knowle so it's a reasonable stroll to the town.
Wow quick work Mr GB from Devises!!
The campsite then gets a big tick for one of my must haves for a campsite - clean shower/toilets, and a maybe for pub nearby! Views, flat pitches etc etc are just a bonus to me!
Reviews elsewhere have a stated a 10 minute walk to Corfe Castle, would you consider this fair?
I have also noticed you have been all over Greece. We are going to Agihos Nikolas in Mani, Peloponnese in September. Previously we have been to Parga, Lakka (Paxos), Stalis (Crete) and Polichrono (Halkadiki). have been to Ag Nik or the area and if so how does comp[are to our previous Greek destinations?
Hi again
Yes, I'd say 10-15 mins leisurely stroll to the neareast pub. Regarding the Peloponnese, not an area I'm familiar with I'm afraid, but if you repost that portion of your message in the relevant forum, I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions.
Hi,
I used to stay at the campsite YEARS ago, and am glad to here from previous poster, that it's not gone down hill!! The suggested time for walking to Corfe is right, about 10-15 mins (20 leisurly!sp?).
You never used to be able to book-I don't know if this is still the case though-so it's worth double checking with them. We're off in June aswell, but staying in a holiday cottage in Corfe-can't wait, last wen 2 yrs ago & my parents are coming down for a few days aswell-so it'll be nice to show them where we've been holidaying on & off for the last 15 yrs!! Last went in 2006-the only rain we had was the night before we were leaving-2 weeks of 25oC+!! Hope it's like that this yr!
Hi again
I have an e-mail address for the site so you can contact to see if they take bookings (can't see why they wouldn't)

Hi,
You can book now. You never used to be able to, it was a first come first served basis, BUT we were able to as we knew the old owners.
I thinmk this has now changed it's name to Corfe Castle Camping And Caravanning Club Site, and obviuosly been affliated with the Camping and caravaning Club.
They will now take pre-bookings but I think only for C&CC members.
