we picked up a book on coastal walks in Asdas i think
they are called the ( trailblazer series) ISBN 1 873756 55 0 price 9.99 and this covers Falmouth through to Padstow
has 80 large scale walking maps..eating places / local sights etc
turns out to be worth the price and could be of use to yourself if you are planning to walk with the dog.
if time is the factor then pop on the web site ( www.trailblazer-guides.com) where you should be able to order online
other than that we walk our dogs on the coastal path between Newquay ..through to porth then up to watergate and back again..very nice stroll and take a bottle of water.
Crantock beach and the Gannal are hard to beat when the tide is out and the ferry house does a great fresh cooked lobster
Colan woods is another fav spot for dog walking but please be aware that porth reservoir ( must do the spellcheck) does not allow dogs ( below the woods)..another spot but a about 14 miles out is Callington woods...lovely tea rooms and loads of laid out walkways to enjoy.
