Has anybody ever been to Inglewood Manor for a wedding? Is it to be recommended? Is there anything we need to know before we book it?

Hi Skippy,

We are getting married next year at Inglewood but we are very nervous because there has been a huge 'managerial shuffle' and the service we have received so far has been disjointed and impersonal... we tend to get fobbed off! Also, I get a bit alarmed when no-one answers the phone at the front desk. Hopefully, things will be a bit more organised when we come to get married and if they aren't, well, WOE BETIDE THE INDIVIDUAL WHO RUINS THE WEDDING DAY OF MY DREAMS!!!!

We are getting married at Inglewood on Friday 5th October. We have until the management change found the hotel difficult to deal with. However, the new wedding organiser is excellent and nothing is to much trouble. Our next door neighbour got married at Inglewood in May of this year and said it was an excellent day. Once it is all over I will tell you what it was like.

Good luck!

Hope you have the most perfect day! It would be brilliant if you could let us know how your day went on once you've become the fully fledged Mr and Mrs Wirralratty... We'll be thinking of you!

Hi

We have now booked Inglewood for May next year as I absolutely fell in love with the place and couldn't find anywhere else at the right price that compared. The staff have been helpful at this early stage so lets hope they keep it up!

I hope you both have a fabulous day that you remember for all the right reasons! Any feedback would be great...... but maybe only if its positive!

Enjoy and good luck!

Sorr for the delay in replying, but we have only just got back from our honeymoon.

Just a quick note to say that everythnig was excellent at Inglewood and I would not hesitate to recommend this location for a wedding. Everyone was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. The wedding co-ordinator on the day took any stress away from us both and had everything arranged before we thought of it. The food both for the wedding breakfast and buffet was more than we could have asked for. As a number of us stayed over they kept the residents bar open until 2 o'clock, and even came out with a selection of sandwiches at 2 o'clock, just what we needed. Breakfast was also excellent.

The only thing to check/ask is that Inglewood have just had a planning application granted for an extension at the back of the manor for additional rooms. You can check the application by going onto the Chester Council website. It may be worth asking when work is planned and how this may affect you.

I am positive the day will be as good as ours. Good luck and if you need any other information, just ask.
