Help with identifying locations

I had the pleasure of spending three years in the UK in the early 1990's. During my stay I took many photographs; the exact locations of where several were taken having now left my (ageing) memory bank.

If you are able to throw any light on the locations of any of the attached photos I would be most grateful. I realise that some may be so generic that specific location identification might not be possible, but any help you can give me would be great. In total, there are eighteen photos.

Hmmm, I checked it about four times and it works ok for me.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to work out what is the problem.

13 is the Crooked House in Windsor www.crooked-house.com/#/history/4539370630

16 appears to be the river at Windsor alongside Barry Ave, though I don't recognize that building, but the towpath and island are very distinctive

17 most definitely is NOT in the UK :-)

Is 18 a slide thats been scanned in the wrong side?

11 is I guess the Snowdononia railway http://www.snowdonrailway.co.uk/gallery.php

Thanks, that's a great help. You are right, of course, I think 17 may have been somewhere in France.

Hi Joe, yes they are all from slides so it is very possible that it has been scanned on the wrong side. Thanks for your help.

I agree that 8&9 look like clovelly though there are no cobbles in view. yourlocalweb.co.uk/devon/clovelly/pictures/

I'd have said that 17 is Italy. Google 'hotel Maresca Capri'

6 is most certainly Cambridge - it's looking north (downstream) along the Cam from the King's College bridge. The building on the right is Clare college.
