June 2014 Cape Cod and beyond- some advice please!

Hi, looking for some advice from all you experts!

We are flying into NY on 9 June for 3 nights then flying up to Boston to collect our hire car.

From there we are heading to Kennybunkport for 2 nights, then Acadia NP for 3 nights, North Conway for 3 nights( that has used up 11 of our 21 nights...) We then have become a bit unstuck! We had been going to go to Stowe, then head to Dennisport for 5 days. As we can only rent for a full week in dennisport that uses up another 7 nights. Think we will have 1 night in Boston before heading home! As you can see we need longer! Any suggestions on how to make best use of the remaining 2/3 nights? If need be we can cut a night of Dennisport!

We are travelling with our 2 teenage sons- they are use to travelling so that makes it easier! Looking for fab scenery, hiring bikes, walking etc! Any ideas or help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hotels and motels generally don't require big blocks (like a week) for rentals, so you might want to consider that on the Cape.

Stay as few nights in Boston before the Cape or stay a few nights in Boston before getting the rental car and heading north

Here's the good thing about renting a cottage on Cape Cod, you don't actually have to stay for the full week, you can leave a night or two early. Even if you have to pay for the whole week, it is more economical than a hotel where you have to eat all your meals out, etc. You could add in a couple of nights on Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, both are wonderful for biking and have gorgeous scenery. Another option is a visit to Newport, RI where you can take a ferry over to Block Island - again, gorgeous scenery etc.

I was going to suggest either Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket too.. The ferry is cheap but very expensive for overnight on either island. And will be hard too book short notice. have fun..

Another idea is to stay in your cottage for a week and spend another couple of nights in a motel. There's plenty to do on Cape Cod. For a bit of a change stay at the Tides Motel in Falmouth right on the water and take a quick hop day-trip to Martha's Vineyard. You won't regret it if you continue with your time on the Cape I promise. We locate in Dennisport for summer so let me know if I can help you with questions.
