I know that there is either a train or a bus that you can take after you fly into Toronto, but how do I get a schedule or make reservations?
Both the train & bus station are located in downtown Toronto, approx. 18 miles / 28 km from the airport. A taxi would be $49 flat rate, plus gratuity.
Canada's version of Amtrak is VIA Rail. The website is;

For bus service to Parry Sound, you want Ontario Northland (ontarionorthland.ca/en/…schedule_fares.html) -- two buses a day. You can either leave from the downtown bus terminal on Bay Street, or from the Yorkdale GO bus terminal. I don't believe you need reservations.
You can get to Yorkdale via an hourly bus from the airport: gotransit.com/publicroot/… .
The train isn't really a practical way to get there, as it's the transcontinental train that only runs 3 days a week and passes through Parry Sound in the dead of night.
