I am flying from LA to Reno renting a car and driving to South Lake Tahoe Nov 15th what do you think the weather would be. Should I have flown into Sacramento instead. I was there in June-that time we drove from LA..loved it. Can't wait to see the beauty in November
RNO is the perfect airport to fly to for Tahoe--especially when there can be snow or ice as all their rental vehicles are equiped for local driving conditions.
We fly from LAX to Reno a couple times a year to drive over to Lake Tahoe.
If you have the time it's 40 min, take the Mt. Rose Hwy. 431 to Incline Village, it's a beautiful drive. Take the 28 south and join the 50 to South Lake Tahoe.

Thank you CaNative for the suggestion. I too am a Calif Native. We might do that when we leave driving back to Reno since we will be arriving late at night.
you might think about getting 4WD on vehicle...depending on weather forcast.
