Scenic places to visit/easy walk?

Our toddler got sick... Could you recommend scenic places to visit to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area-- driving/easy walking instead of the planned pool and beach activities?

We have been to South Lake Tahoe multiple times, but tend to stay on the North side. Cannot remember what there is to do in the summer.

Staying at Marriott.

Go visit the Tallac site there is a path along there.
