Restaurants with a View??

We (4 couples ages 52-65) will be renting a house on Cascade Road in South Lake Tahoe and are interested in recommendations for restaurants (b'fast/lunch/dinner) that are reasonably priced but have a nice view of the lake if possible. We are not particularly fond of mexican or chinese cuisine but are open to other types of ethnic foods. We will be traveling all around the lake (we'll be there July 11-14) so we don't have to focus uniquely on South Lake Tahoe. Thanks so much in advance for your ideas.

"restaurants (b'fast/lunch/dinner) that are reasonably priced but have a nice view of the lake if possible."

The Forest Buffet on the top floor of Harrah's Hotel in SLT has bird's eye view of the lake. Pretty at sunset.

The Lone Eagle Grill at the Hyatt Hotel in Incline Village is very expensive, however for lunch you can get salads, pizza, burgers, and still have that fabulous view of the lake, right at sand level.

Lone Eagle Grill & Harvey's 19 Kitchen are both excellent but are expensive. You can book both of these restaurants on opentable.

Beacon and Sunnyside are both very good for a casual meal with pretty lake views. Enjoy your time in Lake Tahoe! :)

The Bleu Water Bistro closed it's doors a little over a year ago.

Most ON THE LAKE - or WITH A VIEW dining options tend to not be on the moderately priced side. All mentioned above are wonderful options however.

I never see the Zephyr Cove Lodge mentioned as an option.. They are truely delightful if you are looking for a restaurant with a view and that "Tahoe Lodge" feel to it. Breakfast there is fantastic and they are the only venue at that time of the day that would have a view.

There are no other breakfast with a view options with the exception of the Forrest Buffet at Harrahs which is open for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays only. Dinners 7 days a week of course.

It looks like the Blue Water Bistro is still there but has been taken over by Best Western. Since this is the case I can't say if it's any good. Reviews don't seem to be that great. I see lots of really good reviews through last summer and suddenly a huge drop in ratings. :(

Most any view restaurants in Tahoe are on the spendy side - Chart House, Kitchen 19. Not limited to just on lake.

Sorry tahoeheff I missed the part of your reply that you mentioned all view restaurants are spendy - my bad.

I can't recommend Zephyr Cove restaurant because I haven't been. It's just never ffit into our plans. So many places so little time.
