Ok here is the deal. I am asking in hopes that someone did this a few weeks ago and have fabulous input! We no longer do gifts for the kids for Christmas! We decided years ago to take the opportunity and go on a family vacation! This has worked out so great! The kids all love it! This past Christmas we now have added my best friend and her family! This was an added bonus this year and a tradition we will continue. The goal is to pick a place we have never been! Ages of the kids are 3-20 (I guess 3 of mine are now young adults) and there are 7 of them. Adults 5!
Christmas 2012 will be in TAHOE... We know nothing about Tahoe with the exception that it has casino's (this will keep me busy) and hopefully snow. Here is the issue. I am a planner, I will work on a vacations for days, months and hours. I like to have everything down!
Questions I have: Do you stay on the California side or Nevada? I have heard it is easier on the California side you can just walk place to place. What activities do they have? Are we guaranteed snow in December? Has anyone rented a really cool/nice cabin? Has anyone rented snowmobiles and how much for a week? Need ideas to keep us busy. Looking at 10 days.
Any information is so much appreciated. I really like to start early and get ideas flowing. I think this is why we so far have manged to have a flawless vacation every year and would like to keep it that way.
Thank you everyone!
