On a clear day and with the right clothing, yes.

There is always snow at the Jungfraujoch so being there in January makes no difference in that regard. The temperature DOES though. January being the coldest month of the year then Jungfraujoch has its coldest temperatures and since it is almost the coldest place in the country this is cold indeed!! Imagine at least -20C and likely much more with a chill factor lower if there is wind. Just don't stay outside too long.

Curious as it may sound, you have more chance of a fine day in winter. However the weather is what it is and there are probably more people in summer than winter. Weather forecasts up to 4/5 days in advance are usually reasonably correct. Anything beyond that is largely crystal ball gazing. Suggest you look at local weather forecasts, they are more likely to be accurate.

Timing is everything when going up to JungFrau. Even with a good weather forecast, it can get cloudy. That is why I don't buy tickets in advance. It is usually better to go in the morning. But you need to make sure that the skys are predicted to be clear on THAT MORNING!!

In these high Alpine regions, any weather forecast beyond a frame of 24 hours, and that's an optimistic estimate, is pretty much guesswork and useless. No matter what the forecasts say, it is always necessary to do a reality check in THAT VERY MORNING how the conditions actually are. It is impossible to plan good weather for one particular date, that's why we keep advising against those rat-race itineraries that schedule a mountain excursion on on one date set in stone. Buying tickets in advance does not make the slightest sense. A more flexible plan will increase your chances. I waited for 3 days until, on the 4th and last possible day, the weather was finally favourable.

All of us who live in the Alps know not to make plans in advance that cannot be changed. Flexibility is the key.

A good example is the Patrouille des Glaciers, one of the most gruelling races on skis in the world. They build in extra days to their schedule so that if the weather is poor on the day planned they can move the race. And this year they had to do that twice. Once two days ago and just announced for tomorrow's race which will happen on Sunday.

Which is why I always tell people to plan for more than one night's stay when going to a mountain resort...
