Welcome to the forum :)
No need to worry, the water receded almost as fast as it rose. You might see some scaring from slips but it won't detract from the beauty.
We have had nothing but hot sunny days for ages now :)
There was alot of damage from those last floods and it caused huge problems. I was there two weeks ago and the road from Takaka to Totaranui was completely washed out and as far as I know it is still closed. The Cobb valley road has also been affected and if plan to go exploring in Golden Bay check with the local isite in Takaka which roads are still affected.
In general most of the damage has been cleaned up.
An article in the paper last week said the last remaining closed roads in Golden Bay will be open again within weeks. As mentioned earlier, you won't be inconvenienced over Easter :)
