One week, North and South Shore

My husband and I are looking into Tahoe for late July. We're thinking the South Shore for 4 nights and the North Shore for 4 nights. We'd like hotels that are walking distance to evening entertainment and food. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure what your price range is but SLT I would look at

Alpenrose - Nice outdoor deck; Walking distance to lake, budget friendly

Wonderful condo - great location - nice rooms

If you are into gambling, the casino hotels would be ok.

Not sure if you will want to relocate or not - its easy driving distance to other parts of Lake Tahoe by staying at one place.

Staying on the lake front in July is the best! Check out Farrari's Crown on the north shore in King's Beach.

They have kitchens, fireplaces, decks with BBQs, hot tubs, water activity desk at the lake to rent kayaks, etc. You are in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Gambling on the north stateline.

Our favorite, Jason's Beachside Grille is up the street, outside dining, live entertainment.

With a bigger budget, the Hyatt in Incline Village is also at the lake, with resort features, a casino off the lobby, the Lone Eagle Grill right on the lake.

Love late July in Tahoe. It's small enough that you don't need to re-locate. Choose one place & stay there. I would choose one of the Marriott properties in SLT or the Hyatt in north Tahoe.
