Resort help...first time winter vacationer

I am looking for snow snow and more snow!

In tow will be the 1yr old and the 4 yr old...extremely active kiddos

I have a very high standard for hotels so i am Looking for a luxury resort but not SNOOTY...dont need anyone judging my lack of the perfect apres ski attire or my snotty nosed kid

I would like a resort that offers walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities....or nearby short drive....

Winter activities i would like to do: tubing, sled rides, ice skating, very hot pools, indoor kids play areas

Thanks in advance!

no one can guarantee snow. this winter after a very wet start has turned dry. Still lots of winter left. How about the Resort at Squaw Creek.

In Incline Village is the Hyatt Regency Resort at the lake. Spa, pools, firepits, Lone Eagle Grille, casino. There is some shopping, but overall, Tahoe is not a shoppers paradise. Reno has the Malls.

Diamond Peak is a mile up the hill. Ski school for kids.

Both places listed above are good choices. I will add in the Ritz Carlton at Northstar. It is a very very nice place and not cheap. I have not stayed there but took a look around (too much $$ for me).

Tahoe ski resorts just got 6 more inches of snow yesterday!
