My boss is flying in to Reno and traveling the Lake Tahoe area in a couple of weeks. He is a huge sugar addict! Candy, pastries, cakes, pies, anything that has sugar. Are there any artisanal candy places, bakeries, or specialty shops that are must-try stops while he is there?
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They used to be on 50 out near 89 but moved to Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe to where the shops & dining are.

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in the village is not the same as Lake Tahoe Chcoclate Factory insided nonte Bleu.

The best bakery in all of Lake Tahoe is in Incline Village, on Country Club Dr. near the lake and across from the Hyatt. It's called Ernie's International Pastries. Famous for their old world Strudels, chocolate napoleon with whipped cream and custard, eclairs, cannoli, chocolate cake with raspberry, and cookies.
