Traveling to Quebec from the states -- a friend has offered to loan me her fur coat to take with me to Quebec. Is this appropriate outerwear??? Staying in the Old Town for a couple of nights and then at Chateau Frontenac......

A fur coat could be ok in the very coldest part of winter, like February, if you easily get chilled. Locals wearing fur anytime in winter are a tiny minority, all the more rare when the weather is mild, as it is at the moment. Right now, if you are wearing one, you will be the very single person in town to do so. And you will feel very very HOT in it. Now, it's up to you if you want to attract attention ...
