Walkable restaurants to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth

Looking for suggestions for reasonable priced restaurants with good food for families (9-13 aged kids)

We are staying 3 nights at Fairmont Queen Elizabeth on 900 Rene Leveque.

I suggested Reuben's for smoked meat -- their speciality.

I agree Entrecôte and M:brgr seems more for adults.

My kids are pretty adventurous when travelling and rely on chowhound for our family vacations.

many kids live off chicken nuggets and fries and since I am researching for a bigger group to accommodate all I am on here looking for variety type menu restaurants.

Il Focolaio for pasta?? Maybe im blind but I dont see any pasta listed on their menu.. Pizza, subs and calzones.

Pizza looks good but a few want pasta. :)))

Oops, my bad -- yes, Focolaio is only pizza and a few other things; Santa Lucia has a larger menu and is quite similar. There are tons of restaurants around, but some of them like Guido and Angelina or Cibo & Vino are dreadful; others, such as Boccancino's or Carols & Pepe's are passable. Still others are quite smashing, such as Europea or the Taverne Dominion (although this last one may not let kids in...)

We have a return trip coming up to Montreal and staying at the Fairmont again and wanted to see if any new family restaurants have opened in the area that are walkable.

We have dined at Les 3 Brasseurs, st hubert take ,, Nickels, Reuben's and the horrendous food court in the underground, a poutine place in old Montreal, none of which were a meal to talk about.

We will be going to chinatown for a meal at a restaurant highly recommended but need other suggestions,

Not fine dining but good cuisine that fits a family budget too,
