My family has been to Cavendish the last 2 years, and have stayed at Boosom Buddies and Sundance as well as Dream Weavers (Not recommended). We really like to have the view of the ocean and a nice playground for our 3 and 2 year old, a pool is a nice add on as well. Just wanted to get other peoples opinions on wher to ty and what is another place to stay We will be visiting the Water Park as well as Sandspit. |

Did you have a look at the cottages at Cavendish Maples? No view, but they have everything else on your wish list. I haven't stayed there, but thought they looked as nice as Sundance, on the outside. Fairways Cottages have a good family package (incl passes to Cavendish attractions), a pool and 2 small playgrounds, but no view.

the water park and sandspit are not really sutible for the age of your children. (my Opinion). best deal on PEI for small kids is Mill River Fun Park on the western part of the island. it is kind of out off the big loop but an hours drive from cavendish. they have waterslides sutable for your age group and are not very busy so no line ups and that sort of thing. having 3 small kids my wife and I beleive it is the best kept secret on Pei for kids under 8-9 years old

Agreed, Sandspit and the water slide park are not all that suitable for little ones of 2-3 years. The water park has a few more things for small children, than Sandspit. The water park has a lovely wading pool with sprays and baby slides that your little ones would enjoy, a barn with animals, paddle boats which you could do with them, and a few other gentle rides for little ones. Sandspit has scary rollercoasters and rides suitable for much bigger kids. The only thing that comes to mind for little ones at Sandspit is the ball pit playground.

St. Lawrence Motel has playground, heated pool, view?, and low prices. It's in the Nat'l park, so you get free park pass. Get advice on how to turn the heater on if it's cold. Nice, little housekeeping cabins. Kippa
