The tunnel is closer to the casino, but either way is fine, not a big difference....

If I remember correctly one tower is on one end the casino and one on the other. The pool/fitness room is in one tower, so if you are staying in the tower on the other end of the casino you have to walk through the whole casino to get there. I believe the less expensive rooms are in the tower with the pool, but I could be wrong. I think that only one of the towers allows children too. A look at the reviews here on TA should answer that question though. Or you could of course call the hotel directly.

The Forum Tower is strictly for people 19 years of age or older. The main difference between the two rooms (deluxe and luxury) is the view. The luxury guarantees a full river (Detroit skyline view).

The pool, spa and exercise area are all located in the Forum Tower. This is also restricted to 19 and over.

Check in is in the Augustus Tower. If you choose the Forum tower you will need to walk through the Casino to get to that tower.

Depending on your "take" on children, I don't find that a major obstacle to make sure I have an "adult" vacation.

The Windsor/Detroit Tunnel is a few blocks away from the casino. The Ambassador Bridge is a couple of miles, but a nice drive along the waterfront.
