April holiday in Canada

My husband and 2 teenage sons will be travelling to Toronto, North Bay, and Niagara Falls during April 2012. We are looking for reasonably priced apartments or hotels. The budget is $150-$200 per night or less. We are looking for a place that either offers a room with a queen and 2 singles, adjoining rooms, or an apartment with 2 bedrooms. So far we have only found hotels that offer 2 queens but we want the boys to have their own bed rather than sleeping together. Can anyone please help? Thanks. Marie

A lot of hotels using the "quad occupancy" format (two queens) will provide a cot for your room on request, for free or for a small charge, for an extra person to sleep on. Also a lot of hotels have doors between adjacent rooms that can be unlocked to create a double room. Have you inquired about that?

Great, I hadn't thought of asking for an extra bed or rooms that may have doors between them. Thanks for the ideas. Marie
