Where to stay and just walk

What hotel is good to be able to park there and walk to the falls and other attractions. Maybe Clifton hill too. Suggest public transportation please. I don't drive at night.

There are several dozen hotels within walking distance of the Falls and attractions. It's impossible to choose a hotel for you without knowing what you are looking for: Views of the Falls? Budget? Amenities desired?

You can get to every attraction and hotel on the WEGO bus system.

The Comfort Inn on Clifton Hill is a budget hotel and you can park at a reasonable price, The location is great. walkable to falls and attractions. The Sheraton on the falls is more expensive but has a view of the falls and parking will be at least $20,00 or more per day.

The Country Inn and Suites is more moderately priced then places like the Sheraton on the Falls or the Marriott Fallsview. But of course, that all depends upon when you go as all hotels get a little pricier at certain times. On a recent trip, we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for 1/2 the price of what the Marriott was charging. But then the Marriott has more amenities and a falls view that the Comfort Inn does not. Many of the hotels are located within easy walking distance to the falls. Easy being about 10 - 15 minutes depending on where you are and your walking ability on the slightly hilly streets from the falls going up to the hotels. Also, that's a basic time to just get to a 'point' near the falls - more walking is needed up and down Niagara Parkway if you want to go end to end from American to Horseshoe falls. As fallsdude mentioned, there is a lot to consider so you need to narrow it down. Also as he mentioned, the WEGO buses can take you through most of the area and charge $7.50CA for a day pass or $11.50CA for a 48 hour pass. We like to walk so we never got the passes. The main areas were also busy with visitors and felt safe to walk in at night. At least prior to midnight. After that I couldn't tell you as we were lights out.

"I didn't know that the Country Inn has views of the falls."

It doesn't. If you are referring to my post, I did not state that it has a falls view, I stated:

"we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for 1/2 the price of what the Marriott was charging. But then the Marriott has more amenities and a falls view that the Comfort Inn does not."

The closer to the Falls you are, you will be paying for not only the hotel but the parking....your budget would help us determine what place may be best for you...

If it's the view you want I would say the Embassy Suites or Niagara Falls Casino Resort you can look down into horseshoe falls from their rooms but comes at a high price. When we have the kids it's the Courtyard by Marriott because it's more central. It's right in Victoria and easy walk to Clifton Hill yet a 5 min walk to Skylon Tower and 15 min the incline for horseshoe falls. The Courtyard also has shuttle service that will drop you off by the attractions and you can pick it back up later.
