Cheap Places under 80 bucks can. near DT London |
Hey looking for a cheap place was thinking about the Knights Inn but its sold out....heard some scary reviews about the Exceutive suites and the Econolodge.. Which do you think is better? The motels on Dundas or the Eco-lodge or the exceutive suites... If anyone can help that would be great asap. I dont drive so something that wont cost alot if I need a cab Thanks |
Except for the Villager Park Lane and Econo Lodge, all of the budget hotels are quite a distance from downtown and a cab ride will be at least $15-20 one way. It doesn't sound great, but for that price I guess the Villager Park Lane might have to do.
Thanks how about the motels on Dundas how far are they....Are they stayable. Also how close is the Country Inn or the Country Hearth Inn? If you know that would be great !
country inn & suites on Baseline is a little closer to downtown, the country inn (I think that is the name) on Exeter would be fairly far from downtown.
So would you rather stay at the cheap hotels downtown ie Villager Park Lane or the random motels on Dundas. Is there a difference?
Unless someone can specifically tell you the name of a Dundas Street Motel that is safe, I would stay away from them. They were great in the days when there was no 401, and people travelled down #2. But most have seen better days. Many are filled with long term residents on welfare etc, or rent the rooms by the hour..if you know what I mean.
You have to weigh the $25-30 round trip cab ride to/from the Baseline location to downtown vs. your concern about safety/cleanliness etc. Only you know what your budget will allow. If I thought I would want to be back and forth at least once/day from my hotel, I might spend that transportation $ on slightly better accomodations. Your call......
How about the Knights Inn its not sold out any good ? how far? Thanks
the reviews on it were not good, sounds like you get what you pay for. Also to cab it will be $$, same as hotels by 401. What about the Holiday Inn on Dundas, CAA rate of $99. Pay a little more but save in cabs. In Canada we don't have many of the cheap hotels like the US, at least not in the summer & the ones we do have that are clean & safe aren't in a downtown of a city. Usually $80 is a steal at the off season. What are you wanting to do here, when are you coming, we may be able to help more if had a little info.

Ya your right i was thinking of the Hoilday Inn Express it was at $109.00 with tax. I guess my other options are B&B's or the executive suites 89.00 ...ill be going down this weekend. What do you think I should do if I hafta i guess ill pay for 109.00 but i dont plan to stay in the room long. Thanks
Well im going out for family party/ So I will be up late very late... I just dont want my stuff to be stolen at a hotel. So im not that picky just a clean room.
