Hi again slim"
I have been on the Brier Island Whale Watching Tour twice...I've taken tours from Lunenburg and those are pretty good, but do much prefer the ones from Brier Island.
It's very picturesque and the whales can often be seen right from the shoreline.
I stayed 2 nights at the lodge in the summer of 03.
The restaurant and the seafood were very good. Obviously extremeny fresh as all the seafood is caught daily of the waters of the island..You will see alot of " hands on " fishermen in this area..
The lodge is not overly large and has a spectacular drop view of Grand Passage and Peter's Island..Also the village of Westport.
Beautiful walking trails on the island..
Boats to that island run every hour and half hour, I think, so it's easily accessible.
A very rustic Nova Scotia destination...
