Next week we leave for 8 days in Nova Scotia, followed by 5 in Newfoundland. We are flying to Deer Lake, picking up a car (yes, it was pre-booked many months ago!) & spending 3 days at Rocky Harbour. My question is regarding the next 2 days and whether this is an overly-ambitious plan:
We are leaving Rocky Harbour early morning on Day 4 and driving to L'Anse aux Meadows. I'm hoping we arrive in enough time to see the Viking settlement, followed by dinner at the Norseman. The next morning, we are taking a 9 am Northland Discovery Boat Tour and will spend most of the afternoon in St. Anthony. We fly home the next day and are breaking up the drive to Deer Lake by traveling to Port au Choix from St. Anthony well before dark in order to avoid moose encounters. Am I underestimating the time needed for these drives and outings? Any advice would be most appreciated!
