If you are going to Asessippi - swing towards Rossburn first. There is a scrapbooking (also flowers, gifts, specialty cafe, & more) store with tons of events and great food. Gone Scrappin' In Bloom www.gonescrappin.ca

And tour the Babushka Trail (The Buddah's, Mass Grave & more historical sites) as well as golfing a very picturesque 9 hole golf course at Rossman Lake. A really nice day trip with lots to see and do. Rossman Lake also opened up with a new Yurt Accomodations. Very interesting to see.

I just came across Pembina Valley Amazing Race 2009.

It starts Sept 4 to 6. It cost $50.00 per team to registrate. There are additional costs to do various task that weekend. Did anyone do this last year?
