Although there's snow on the webcams it's not that much and it's nowhere near the village.
There's still time though.
Just checked the webcams tonight and can see there is actually some snow down at the slopes into the village, albeit just a covering.
Let's hope they get a big dump or two or three this coming week. :) I too will be there opening weekend. We always do come then, but, it's still November, and there's no ski resort in the world that can guarantee good conditions in November. So we hope for the best but bring lots of reading material and plan on doing other things in case conditions are poor.

Whister Mountain is opening on 17th Nov (Emerald Express, Big Red & Franz's lifts operating).
Blackcomb Mountain opens as planned on 22nd.
is it plausible to expect snow in the village by Nov 21st? just want to go there for the winter village atmosphere, not actually skiing.

It was 6 degrees above today and they're having similar temperatures all next week-with steady rain.

You can never guarantee snow in the village.
We go for two weeks at the end of Feb every year and some years (although not many) its been snow in the village the whole time. Other years there's been no snow lying in the village the entire two weeks. The rest of the time its a mix of both.
All you can do is turn up and hope and pray.
