Snow in November

I will be traveling with the wife Nov 16 - 18 and was curious if there will be snow in the village ? We really like the feel of whistler and the snowy season and just wondering if its normal for snow at that time ?

Also we know we are arriving the week before it all opens but just curious for some other things to do around town ?

Thanks for any input

Snow in the village can be a bit of a hit or a miss.

We've never been there in November but we go every year in Feb / March and even then there's less days which there's snow in the village than dry or rainy days irrespective of how much snow is up on the mountain.

Just checked the webcams on the Whistler tourism website, and I can report they are showing no snow on the ground at Olympic Plaza.

@Marie - so is there enough snow on the mountain to ski? The webcam looks promising today!

You can tell by the tire tracks on the webcam (Roundhouse) view that the snow is not very deep. And the forecast is for nothing but sun, ugh. It needs to hurry up and snow!

Hi keeling_london

Sun and lows around -5C in the alpine forecast for the next 5 days. These are great conditions to make snow and add to the current snow base.

So not quite enough snow to ski today....but it is looking good for official opening day on November 22nd. I would also anticipate an earlier opening limited to the lifts in the alpine area.

I wouldn't bet much on an early opening (maybe a day or two) and definitely not the lifts in the 'alpine' area! Emerald/Red as usual.

As for snow in the village - anything is possible.
