Coffee break tommorrow

Hello Advisors! Heading to Victoria for the day tomorrow with the school. Us parents have an hour to ourselves (10 am) while the kids go into the IMAX movie, so several of us are thinking a nice coffee break. We need close and fast, so we can be back when the kids get out of the movie.

Any suggestions?

Holding off here. It's always "nicer" in Victoria. Will we get a TR about the coffee place? :-)

It's sunny and hot here. Lovely day. and the dolphins have returned to the inlet too. This is why we put up with all the rain in the winter - BC in the spring and summer is spectacular.

Um, well, unfortunately the coffee shop was too small for our purposes. There's only about a dozen seats and at least 8 of them were taken. There were about 12 of us, so we took over the lobby of the hotel, but we weren't allowed to have food out there, just our coffees. The Bakery selection was very limited(but I didn't try any of it anyway). Coffees were nice. It was suggested afterwards that the Grand Hotel would have been the better choice. Ah well.

We did start the day with some lousy weather, but it brightened up and by lunchtime we had the kids out on the lawns. just got home, and a pretty tight schedule, dep. 5:30 am home 8:30 pm, with only the RBCM and a tour of the Parliment Buildings. Victoria really is not a reasonable day trip.

I was going to suggest the Day's Inn patio along Belleville, but thought coffee in the gardens sounded so much nicer. Ah well, the kids probably learned a lot and had a good time.

It would have been later in the day when it was warm and sunny. It was still too grey in the morning to sit outside comfortably.

Sorry it didn't work out v67, weatherwise and the size of the parent posse, for the places I suggested.

Hey, Dave, at least you replied, right? That's the thing we have to remember about any advice on TA...its always subjective and everyone has different needs and preferences. It was fine. They didn't try to kick us out of the hotel lobby, which was very nice. Not ideal, but it worked.
