Welcome to the forum, betty l ~

I think you must mean Butchart Gardens (pronounced just as it looks Butch - art).

Just to doublecheck, you are coming to Vancouver for 2 nights? not Victoria? To get to Victoria, it takes 4 hours one way by coach and ferry to downtown Victoria and then 45 minutes on the Butchart shuttle bus to the gardens. It makes a long day trip and you would have no time left for Vancouver. Click open the following blue print link to see what's involved in getting to Butchart from Vancouver.

With 2 nights in Vancouver, you could visit some of the gardens we have. Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Van Dusen Gardens. Our public transit if very easy and convenient. You can walk most everywhere.

For a hotel in Vancouver, you will want to stay in the downtown area. You don't say when you are coming, so it is hard to say if you could get a room for $200 a night. In Vancouver you might look into the YWCA Hotel, Blue Horizon. Click open the following link for Vancouver hotels. You can use the filter down the whole of the left side to choose your priorities and check out the hotels.

If you have only 2 nights, and want to see Butchart Gardens, you might want to fly right into Victoria

There are wonderful Gardens in Vancouver

Van Dusen

Queen Elizabeth Park

Bloedel Conservatory

Nitobe Memorial Gardens

University of BC Botanical gardens

Stanley Park Rose Gardens.

Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Gardens

with that short of a time frame I'd stay in Vancouver ..look at Blue Horizon Hotel or the Metropolitan

the Butchart gardens are unique and beautiful, but for a two day visit based in Vancouver, just stay in the area, and visit any of Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Van Dusen Gardens and park-and-tilford-gardens vancouversnorthshore.com/what-to-do-outdoors… in north van. also consider sun yat sen gardens and Stanley park.

My top 3 would be:

Queen Elizabeth Gardens at Cambie and 33rd Avenue and the Bloedel Conservatory

Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Memorial Gardens on Pender St in downtown Vancouver

Nitobe Gardens at the University of BC
