Whale watching

Hi

I will be in vancouver for 3 nights in June.

We will be staying at the best western downtown hotel.

We would like to do a whale watching day trip whilst there and was wondering how easy this would be to arrange/ ? Any suggestion of companies that run this trip. We only have one day either the 19 or 20 june to do this and would require transportation to and from the hotel to be included as part of this trip.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

It is very easy to arrange. Phone 1-2 days ahead. Several of the tours leave from Steveston, a fishing village and tourist spot, about 45 min by complimentary shuttle. The village is worth a look see and perhaps a fish and chips dinner with an hour's bus ride after back to the city. The tours can take from 4-6 hours depending on how long it takes to get to the whales.

If you go to the Vancouver Forum, rather than this Vancouver Island one, you could then read the reviews for the companies in the things to do section of the menu bar to help you choose a tour.
