Our family with 4 young children (oldest 9 to youngest 4) will be in Vancouver Tue., July 30 after arriving on the evening train from SEA late M until our cruise departs Wed. the 31st. We've booked a room for M & Tue night at the Coast Plaza and although I've been doing some research on sightseeing in the area, I'm looking for advice & suggestions for how to spend a full day sightseeing in Vancouver. Stanley Park seems to be the hotspot for suggestions, and while it seems anyone could easily spend more than a few days exploring there, I'm wondering if anyone would have some recommendations for maybe a half day in the park and then somewhere else for the rest of the day? We do not plan to rent a car, although we're open to it. We're not looking for a jam packed busy day, although we are moderately willing to "see it all" within reason. Grouse MTN, one of the suspension bridges or the Brittania mine all look appealing, so we're looking for opinions and advice on what to see & do!
