Richmond Night Market vs Int'l Summer Night Market

Planning on going to a night market in Vancouver within the next couple weeks but saw this article this morning:

huffingtonpost.ca/2013/05/01/richmond-night-…

I thought there was only one night market but apparently there's the Richmond Night Market & The Int'l Summer Night Market. I've been to the Int'l Summer mkt near the home depot but have not been to the Richmond Night Market. Which one is bigger and which would you prefer of the two?

Thanks in advance!

They have pretty much identical food & retail stalls, and are about the same size. But if you've already been to the International Summer market, you might as well try out the new one. It's much easier to get to via transit. It does charge $2 gate admission, which I think is a little cheesy, but it's our default one now, just because it's on the Canada Line.

And you can add in the newly revamped Chinatown Night Market which runs Friday to Sunday from 6 pm to 11 pm until 8 September.

Awesome! Do you know if this one is as big as the Richmond Night Market and Int'l Night Market? Do they have similar booths?

C-town one would be much smaller as they just don't have the same kind of available space

North Vancouver also has a night market on Thursday and Friday nights. It's a short Seabus ride from downtown. It's not at all large, or Asian, but it's a nice place to have a food cart meal and spend a laid-back evening watching the sun set over the downtown skyline (weather permitting!)

The Richmond Night Market at River Rock Casino is definately easier to get to if you rely on public transit. It is also a short walk (5 to 10 minutes) from most of the airport area hotels if you are staying there.

The Richmond night market is super crowded due to the fact it's very accessible by transit. That's both it's curse and blessing. The Chinatown night market used to be several blocks long since it was the original one but it's been overshadowed by the one's in Richmond.

If you have the time maybe visit the Richmond night market first and then head over to Chinatown to take a quick look.
