Vancouver Date Ideas

Hi all,

I'm travelling from Montreal to Vancouver to visit my girlfriend next week. We are both twenty-somethings who love eating out, drinking good cups of tea, live music (we're both in bands) - anything from jazz to folk to metal.

Any ideas for some dates that we can go on? Day and night ideas would be much appreciated!

Also, any great bars, restaurants, brunch places that we should check out? We are not vegetarian, but I've heard great things about The Acorn. Thoughts?

We don't see eachother very often, so I want to make it count! Please help!!!

See cocktails and music on this page at Top Questions. Denman Street is an interesting street for small restaurants and Commercial Drive a good daytime walk for tea/coffee. The Georgia Strait is a free newspaper (and website) that lists music venues and other happenings. Their newspaper box is on many downtown corners.

Whoops. Georgia Strait is the body of water some call the Salish Sea. The newspaper is Georgia Straight. http://www.straight.com/

Thanks for the suggestions!

I like the sounds of the rare tea place. Looked up some reviews and it seems like it would be fun.

Will check out the weekly that you mentioned, perhaps there's a live show we can check out.

Any ideas for restaurants?

The Nitobe Japanese Gardens may be something to check out, it is really relaxing chill way to hang out for a bit...
