Wine Tour and accomodation at a vineyard?

We are planning to come to Penticton or Kelowna in August with another couple and want to book some wine tours and possibly have accommodations in a vineyard. Looking for a first class experience. Can anyone suggest a good tour company to use and a resort or hotel in a vineyard that has a beautiful view?

Burrowing Owl offers accommodation, restaurant and wine tasting with a view. It is in Oliver. You don't need to book wine tours - there are tour busses or you can self drive (with a DD) and there are some awesome wineries to see.

First class? Burrowing Owl or Hester Creek. Closer to Penticton is the affordable and eclectic God's Mountain.

The accommodations that are part of the wineries are very small due to zoning regulations. If you are talking about visiting this August these places are in high demand so go luck in finding one that will have vacancies. the only one that is fair size is the Spirit Ridge in Osoyoos part of Nk'mip winery. There are lots of hotel/motels in Osoyoos which is a good base for visiting wineries in the south okanagan.

Hotel/motels in Penticton are a 5-15 min drive to wineries on the Naramata Bench. and 30 minutes to Summerland and/or Oliver.

There is a new sign at the south entrance to town advertising winery tours (did not write down details) .Tours where you hop on hop off are available and can be booked at your hotel.

For an "expensive" winery meal Poplar Grove in Penticton (view) and Sumac Ridge (no view) in Summerland should be on your list. and the Hooded Merganser at the Lakeside Hotel has an incredible view with great food.

Closer to Kelowna you should have The Cove on your list. which is as close to winery property you get without being in one. they have 2 bedroom units.
