Just looking into booking accomodation in LL in mid-september for my wife and I.
I think we're fairly settled on the paradise lodges, but are trying to make our mind up as to which one to go for.
We'll be staying for just one night.
We don't have a set budget, but don't want to go mad for the sake of it.
If we're being particularly sensible, we're looking between the Wilson Cabin or the Saddleback Suite (for 2 people). The cabin comes in at $223.26 and the suite would be £194.57 (all taxes included).
Both of the above would be nice I'm sure. We'd be more tempted by the saddleback suite tbh. It's a downstairs one I'm told.
But, the temple honeymoon suite caught our eye as well as it just looks superb. This comes in at $322.42. Whilst that is expensive, it's not hugely more expensive compared to the others (It's only about £80 if we convert to GBP).
So we're quite tempted by it, but we were looking for some adivce. I don't want to go for it just for the sake of it. However, if it's worth it, then we could be tempted to pay that bit extra... (I notice it also has a full kitchen which would save on food if we chose to eat in, rather than out).
I'm not sure when exactly it'd get dark in there around mid september. My concern with that is if it's really late, would we actually be in the room much to enjoy it? The next morning we're planning to get up, see LL and Moraine Lake, before heading up the icefields parkway. I'm not sure what time check out is at the paradise lodges - does anyone know? However, if it gets dark say around mid evening, then it could be worth it.
What does anyone think about the above options? Has anyone been in any of them?
Looking forward to your replies.
