Paradise Lodge

Does anyone have comments on the accommodations at Paradise Lodge....the smaller cabins look dear, but are they in good shape due to the age of the property?? We have 2 nights in the area and find they are pretty moderate in price. Stayed at Baker Creek 10 years ago and loved it there, but it looks like they've redone their cabins thereby pricing us out of their market. Want something cozy, clean, charming, somewhat rustic.....Would love some feedback on the above or any other place that would run about $175-200/night.

Many thanks!!

Just in case you haven't seen it yet, there are reviews of Paradise Lodge (mostly glowing) here at TripAdvisor:

tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g154912-d182321…

My apologies if you've already read these, but TripAdvisor has a very large website, and it isn't (IMHO) a model of clear organization, so it's possible you missed the reviews.

We stayed at Paradise Lodge for a week about 2 years ago. We stayed in the Lodge Suites section - which were wonderful and new. Very much enjoyed ourselves and thought we made the best "reasonably" priced choice in the area. Much nicer than most hotels, great area and views. The cabins were smaller and set back a bit further. We did see the inside and the one we saw was neat and clean though small while the suites were very spacious. Like a fairly large apartment. We're considering going bck this summer and if so will stay there again.

Of your choices with that budget in that area, Paradise will be the best value. We stayed there a few years ago and found the rooms clean and small, but fine in all other regards. The laundry facilities were also a blessing, since LL no longer has a laundromat.

Not all of the Baker cabins have been redone, and they do have a new building -- so you might want to check their prices for the smallest accomodations.

Otherwise, Paradise is your best bet.
