We have 2-3 weeks to spend in Alberta and are interested in exploring the badlands then heading into the mountains for the remainder. We land in Calgary in early August. I was thinking to start off going to Dinosaur Provincial Park and staying 2 nights in Brooks (closest town), driving to Drumheller for 1 night (Tyrell museum) then driving to Banff/Lake Louise. I have 6 nights in Banff/Lake Louise, drive up Glacier Parkway to Jasper - stay 3 nights in Jasper - drive back down to Banff (overnight) then to Calgary (overnight) fly out next day. We enjoy hiking, photography, canoeing. Is this too much time in one area ..... should I divide it up a bit more? and if so.... suggestions please.
