One Bedroom Suite

Hello! Does anyone know what hotels in Puerto Aventuras or Puerto Morales have one bedroom suites? We are in need of a room that has a pull-out or murphy bed in the living room and an actual bedroom with a door that closes. Or a two bedroom suite would work, too.

Any suggestions??? Thank you for your help!

Cat Riv Maya's living room has a full (not queen) size sofa bed appropriate for little kids or very light weight adults. Not built for adult comfort. Works well for our two little ones, sometimes we ask for a second mattress to stack on top if they can hijack one from a nearby room of only two adults not using the sofa bed.

Marina El Cid in Puerto Morelos has beautiful condo style 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units with living room, kitchen, multiple bathrooms. Definitely more expensive but they are very nice!

The price of a Suite at Catalonia is about the same as a Standard at most other resorts. Another reason we like it : ). Maybe consider renting a condo, like Casa del Mar in Pto Aventuras. You have plenty of restaurants at your doorstep in the marina and a nice beach & pool. Or a ton of choices in Playa del Carmen.

Just beware hotel's room descriptions. The term "Junior Suite" in most cases is a slightly larger hotel room with a "separated sitting area" not a separate sitting ROOM with a door to close. This has always been a travel dilemma for us, too. Travel agents don't know if you ask. They just read the misleading description. Boo! Same thing with "connecting rooms" which connect,,,via the main hallway!

It would have to be a bad travel agent that doesn't know that a junior suite is only a larger room with a sofa, I cant' imagine one that wouldn't know that. . I would never tell my clients that would be a suite. Also, a connecting room would have a door in between the room, not in the hallway, but most resorts will not guarantee connecting anyway, except for a few that will guarantee a limited number of them, but only a handful I can think of. If you've had a bad experience fine, but don't paint all others with that brush, it's very "misleading":(
