Plug Ins-Voltage

Just wondering if the Beach has the same voltage/plugs ins as Canada. Want to be able to use a straightener, charge the phone, Kindle etc. Or do I need to purchase an adapter?

Yes - Mexico, US and Canada are all the same 110v. Lucky us, they even use the same plugs (unless you're staying somewhere that's quite old, they may have the round pin plugs).

If you're talking about the Barcelo Maya Beach - you're good to go; no adapter needed. But, given the humidity levels in Mexico, you may be wasting your time with the straightener!

I purchased this adapter for our trip and will use it other places as well. Great for 2 USB devices and 2 normal plug ins. I heard the hotel we are staying at has minimal outlets in the room.
