Activities/attractions in San Jose del Cabo/Cabo San Lucas

WE are a group of 7- 6 adults (2 in their 50's, 4 in our 20's) and a one-year old. Looking for things we can do as a group. Some things can be without my baby as she can stay with Grandma. We are looking into Zipling, Kayaking, some type of boat ride( catamaran, glass bottom boat, sunset cruise etc, snorkelling, scubadving (2 of us will be scuba certified) golf.

We are staying at the Royal Solaris from Aug 10-16. We are there for my cousins wedding.

We do want some time to relax so we know we won't be able to do all these activities so we are wanting opinions on what is worth it and what maybe to avoid. Recommendations for different companies would also be great.

Thanks in advance. Your responses are very muchly appreciated.

Go with Redrum...the Donovans are great!! Fished with them in 2010 and chartering them in October for my birthday and for the tuna tournament in November. Reasonable prices...knowledgeable captains... Say hello to John and Ryan for me if you go!!

The Dolphin Discover experience at the San Jose Marina is amazing. http://www.dolphindiscovery.com/ You may be able to get a group discount if you book online but otherwise its about $99 per person but it does include pickup and drop-off at Solaris. The only negative is that you can't take your own camera and the photo package they offer is not cheap but the money does go to the care of the Dolphins. This location keeps the Dolphin is the actual sea water and not in a tank.

The Royal Solaris has an outdoor party during the week. It was the best dinner we had the whole time we were there and the entertainment was pretty good. Know that the best restaurant there requires you to make reservations in the morning even though it is part of the All-Inclusive and slots go quick.

If you have not stayed at Royal Solaris before, just know that they just started renovating rooms 7-8 months ago. You may get an outdated room ...

The concierge that will be assigned to you upon arrival actually works for the Timeshare company. They will offer you all sorts of free stuff to take the "tour". We did the tour (did not want to buy there)

If you do not have a Cabo veteran going with you, know that as soon as you go through customs at the airport, the next room you enter will have a bunch of nice helpfull looking people that will ask who your transport company is or what else the can help you with... they are all timeshare people. Just tell them that your transport is waiting outside and that you don't need anything or they will tie you up for an hour!
