Best all-inclusive??

My boyfriend and I are considering a week-long vacation. He hasn't had a vacation in over 6 years so I want it to be a good experience! After much discussion, he has said he wants to go to Cabo San Lucas. We want to do an all-inclusive. While many of the resorts have good reviews, many have several (recent) terrible reviews! Can anyone recommend a good all-inclusive resort? Would another location be better? We want something relaxing but close enough to enjoy some nightlife if we decide to go out. Thanks!

I would suggest that you take a look at the Hotel Riu Santa Fe. While it is located 2.8 miles from town it is a short taxi ride to town to enjoy the local nightlife at the clubs in town. Those guests that want to party every night in town do this. There are two huge pools the Infinity pool by the beach, and the Quiter pool that is away from the beach that may be more suitable for your desire to relax. Here are a couple of video's that might be of interest to you.

FSMDude, whats the Quiter pool? is it where you go soak after a wild night on the town swearing you'll never drink again?

@SJ

It could be your at the Quieter pool because of a headache from a wild night, but mostly it is mid to older folks who don't want music playing, but want a quieter area to read or snooze or float around in the pool and maybe they have the occasional drink.

Usually, the people you are thinking of don't show up until Noon or later if they have had a really wild night and they don't go to the Quiet pool, they go where the action is. See the Video link below.

If you can swing it - the Riu Palace is much nicer...better views, food, premium alcohol and a little fancier. You can get your party on at the bars at the Palace or Santa Fe. We really enjoyed our stay there.
