Great time of the year to be in San Miguel ... highs in the high 80's,(30-33 c), lows in the low 60;s (14 - 16c). Often rains in the late afternoon. clear or partly cloudy most of the day. San Miguel is high desert and this is the time of the year when the place "greens up".

Yes, you will need a brolly. It is the rainy season. But as said above, a lovely time to visit as the rain rarely last more than an hour or so, and mostly in the afternoon or at night.

I would tend disagree with the first post. Historically, SMA's average high is 81 in August, with an average low of 56. Last year, the August's hottest 2 days were only highs of 86, and 4 nights when it got down to the high 40's for lows. The cool weather here is a big reason so many from TX and AZ spend the summer here.

Even during the rainy season, it does not rain often in SMA. August is a beautiful time with springtime temperatures. You'll probably want to bring sweaters or jackets for late evenings when it can feel cool. At AllSanMiguel.com, you can find the weather plus just about everything in

SMA. I hope this helps you enjoy your visit.
