We were on Antigua from Feb 5 - 19, 2007. We took the 10 minute flight that cost per person $ 70 US return. We thought it was a very good price. Flight times were early morning 8:15am leaving Barbuda at 6:30pm. Flying allows you to maximize your time on the island and the aerial view of the Barbuda is beautiful. Once you are on Antigua, try to get a copy of the "Life in Antigua & Barbuda" glossy magazine available in most hotel lobbies. On page 149 there is contact information for taxis, guides and car rentals on the island of Barbuda. We contacted George "The Prophet" Burton who helped us out. We did the same thing 9 years ago and were pleased he was still there. Hope this helps.

I would suggest the plane over as well you spend less time traveling and you can organise a tour of the island while you are there. I would suggest though that you book it with one of the tour companies which offers Barbuda tours D&J forwarders (773-9766 )and Jenny's Tours (461-9361)both do this tour I think the price is about US$220 per person which includes flight, tour of the island and lunch.

...transportation, delectible lobster lunch and 2 full coolers of beer, water and soft drinks for $ 75 US per person. Negotiated at the end of the day so I think that was very reasonable. You have to see the pink sand beach!
