Cabanas Copal or Cabanas la Conchita? |
|
Which would you choose and why?Can we go nekkid at both? Thanks so much |
|
La Conchita is much nicer than Cabanas Copal. You cannot go nude at Conchita, just topless. I have been told that you can eat at the Copal Restaurant and use their beach, which is clothing optional. Azulik is in between Conchita and Copal. Azulik is clothing optional as well.

If being nude if what you want to do, then Copal is your place. La Conchita doesn't allow nudity. Look at this: differentworld.com/mexico/…information.htm But...I do agree with cubana - La Conchita is much nicer.

We've stayed at Azulik, which, as was posted, is located between Copal and la Conchita. Azulik is built on a rocky headland that separates the two resort's beaches. Three of Azulik's units are built on the common beach with Cabanas la Conchita. This beach is posted as NOT clothing optional. The Copal beach IS clothing optional. From Azulik, you could access either beach, but there is no direct access from beach to beach unless you are guest at Azulik. From what I understand, Copal allows beach access through their property if you patronize their restaurant/bar (the beach front bar is presently closed for some reason, however). To get there from la Conchita, you would need to walk down the road, rather than down the beach, (or swim). If you are looking for just a little nude beach time, this might be fine. If you are looking for more of your vacation to be clothing optional, you might consider Copal. Their policies are to permit c/o use on the beach and around the cabanas. The restaurant requires clothing, although we did see these "rules" bent at the beach bar. The accommodations/service would be a step down from la Conchita, however. Azulik's accommodations are a step up from Copal, with the same c/o policy, but are much pricier than la Conchita, with some of the same problems that Copal has. If you are comfortable with "unofficial" nude use, that apparently is practiced at secluded beaches further south, with discretion. If you want to go full monty 24/7 you might check out Hidden Beach Resort.

we stayed at Copal last April and had a great time! we were nude 90% of the time we were within the limits of the resort. We did wander too far down the beach one day only to be stopped by a young man telling us NO NO! YOU CANT BE NAKED HERE! so you have to stay in front of Copal with your nudity. which was fine with us. we just tossed on a pair of shorts or sundress to walk down the beach. we went nude from our Palapa to the beach and back again. Most people there were not nude though. the few of us who were had a great time there. there were kids there. but they dont have kid PROGRAMS so if you bring your kids its on you to watch them.
