We are (were) scheduled to head out to Bahia Principe Tulum on Dec. 2 and I was so encourage by all of the positive posts about the conditions of the hotel that I was sure we were still going, and I felt very lucky and happy!! But then I checked with United Airlines and it's a BUST! They have cancelled all flights to Cancun until AT LEAST Dec. 14 (or 15th... I forget). I'm wondering if it is based on the conditions of the airport or what...And are other airlines doing the same? How is everyone else who is still going prior to that date getting there?? At any rate, I just wanted to encourage any of you who haven't already done so to check with your airline directly. Our travel agency is trying to accomodate us but it looks like we are at the mercy of the airlines and not so much the hotel, at least in the case of BPT (I know that much of Cancun and Cozumel was trashed and not so lucky) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us! Oh....and I am still happy and lucky and I wish for a speedy recovery for the people of the Yucatan. And for all of you who are supposed to be getting married or celebrating a special occasion in Mexico, I wish you well and I hope your plans work out!

Just got word from US Airways and the flight on the 16th is not canceled. All I need to know is about the Freedom Paradise hotel condition so I can make my decision to go or not go.

Got a little scared reading this post, mostly with the Delta cancellations in November, and canceling the west coast flights. I just called Delta and they assured me that this is a temporary problem for the next couple of week (cancellations, limited flights, etc.) She said that we are still confirmed to fly in in January and that the SLC connection has not been cancelled.

Called USAir today to confirm reservation for Saturday 11/5 and all flights that week have been cancelled. I then called my TA to let her know this. Wonder when I would have found out if I hadn't called...so our Junior Suite at the Palladium Grand will be available for some lucky traveler who can find a flight. It's not us. 3 strikes...we're out!

US Airways is not canceling our flight to arrive on Nov 16th. We can cancel if we want so I'm waiting to hear from Freedom Paradise, Tulum to decide what to do.

I feel so bad for all of you with cancelled flights. Why don't you all rebook for January and we'll all meet up and have a drink! :) (That is if my flight won't be cancelled)!
