“ which hotel riu, barcelo or grand palladium? ”

Hi, we are getting close to picking our hotel but need a few suggestions on which one is better? Looking for a nice beach,nice big pool, swim-up bars,diffrent resturants to chose from also some shows at night, we are leaning more towards riu because it is close to the airport, I have read the others are about a hour away. Any ideas would be great.

Hi. I was at the Kantenah Grand Palladium in May 2005 and loved it. The pool is massive but it is fairly deep - I'm 5'6" and my head just barely stayed above the water. The beach was fantastic and I hear it's better now since the hurricane. The water was nice and you could walk out a fair way and feed the fish or just hang out. The grounds and rooms were really nice and I found everything to be very clean and I'm pretty fussy about cleanliness.

It is a good hour from the airport and we had to make a couple of stops along the way but I really didn't find the journey annoying but rather a chance to see part of the country.

I had a good experience at the Palladium and would return but want to try some other resorts too.

Good luck with your choices. I had a very hard time choosing for my Feb trip - I'm giving the IB Lindo a whirl.
