we are looking for a hotel room near 5th steet when we get off the ferry from cozumel to spend 1 night at. any suggestions. we want to be in town or close to town.

This site is a great resource for all the boutique hotels on (and near) 5th Ave. If you are planning to go within the next 2-3 months, you will want to make reservations prior to arriving in Playa. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

You might want to do a search on playa.info They have a booking engine for a lot of the small hotels in Playa del Carmen. Playa Maya is the only hotel that comes to mind right away, but they have quite a few listed there. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

One of our favorites for staying in town one or two nights is Don Emilione on 5th Ave. Not fancy or on the beach but between 45 and 75 per night is a very reasonable rate. They havea restaurant and bar a,d you get a 15% discount on food while staying there. They also have a afiliate beach club where you can use and also get a 15% discount for food and drinks there. Last time we were there we stayed at Hotel Hacienda del Caribe. They also have a website. They charged us $60 USD per night. But my friend went the following week and they gave him the room for $50 USD. It's right past the Don Emilione on the left hand side. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

Deseo, Lunata, Acanto all very popular and right on or near 5th Ave. Probably a little on the pricey side, but all nice places. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

A few other excellent choices for Boutique hotels on or just off Fifth Avenue are: Luna Blue Deseo La Tortuga Fusion (on the beach) Also~ as the above poster mentioned, www(dot)playa(dot)info is a GREAT source for boutique hotels and all PDC info you might want.
