The beach itself is not rocky.......you will find a few rocks about three feet off the shoreline. I know this is a big deal to some people but it did not bother me at all. You can see where the rocks are. If you continue out further there aren't any. You will love the Del Mar resort. I have been to all four Iberostar resorts in that row and go back every year.

The beach is not at all rocky. The big rocks are in the ocean. When you go to the beach, just sit more towards the Lindo. The water does not have rocks there. For great information, go to:

Well......there are a few rocks in the water at the Lindo, but they are small groups and easily avoided. I don't know why everyone makes a big issue about this. The resorts and their beaches are really beautiful. You will be bothered by the minimal rocks only if your vision is really bad and you cannot see them, or if you tend to go into the water only up to your knees.

PS......I also heard somewhere that they are removing the few rocks that are there.

When you say they are removing the rocks, do you mean in front of the Lindo, or the Del-Mar? Or are they removing the rocks from the front beaches of both? If so, that would be great.

We just returned from the Lindo. I do not think the rocks are any kind of problem at all. They are in the water, not on the beach. It is very obvious to spot them because they are Dark. They were FLAT on the bottom.

The only people who I thought it would bother would be a surfer who happened to crash on them and hit bottom.

Didn't bother us at all. Just walk around them, or over them.
